The goal of the San Juan Island Community Calendar is to provide local event information specific to the needs and interests of San Juan Island residents. The calendar will provide organizations and individuals' information about San Juan Island events to aid in event planning. The calendar will provide information about San Juan Island events of local interest.

Gathering of data

In an attempt to be comprehensive, data are gathered from a variety of sources:

A. The public may make submissions to the Community Calendar. Library personnel will review these submissions and may post them based on the Community Calendar's goal statement with regard to the criteria for inclusion listed below.

B. Partners may post submissions directly to the calendar upon training and agreement to responsibilities. Library personnel will review these submissions periodically and may make changes or deletions based on the Community Calendar's goals.

C. Library personnel may post submissions directly to the calendar.

Criteria for inclusion

A. Criterion for inclusion of an event is whether it is open to the public and sponsored by a San Juan Island individual or group.

B. In all cases, approved events will support the stated goals of the Community Calendar. We reserve the right to not include or remove a listing if it is in conflict with the stated goals of the Community Calendar.

C. Although the Calendar will make every attempt to be comprehensive, we will prioritize data entry to support the goals of the Community Calendar and to maximize limited resources.
